Today is the day I get to sleep in...
...and yet, it is 6:19 a.m. and I am sitting outside Jumpin' Java (note to self: they open at six-thirty, dumbass) typing away on my laptop. Seems that I am doomed to wake up at 4:45 for the duration of boot camp, regardless of whether I actually have to be there on a given day.
While I cannot yet lift a car, even a small one (I have read that it is important to have goals when embarking upon a fitness program), I like the class quite a bit. The teachers are all very cool and do not do the faux-drill-instructor schtick (believe me, I checked before signing up), the park is very pretty, and I sort of like being awake when it's crazy early. The workouts are hard, but are a lot more like play than exercise. Yesterday we ran up and down hills, and I kept cracking up during the downhill part, because it felt very Little House on the Prairie. (Wisely, I kept this observation to myself and did not do my Little House impression, which is basically me running down a hill and screaming "Pa! I can't see! I'm blind, Pa!" I know this is not historically correct, but it cracks me up.)
Ooh! Six-thirty-one! I'm gonna get me some coffee.
